Learning to relax deeper into the hold

What I learned!
Today reminded me that I’m capable of more than I sometimes believe.
Before starting the table, I was convinced it would be too difficult for my current level. But as the session progressed, something unexpected happened—the breath holds actually started to feel easier.
I knew this was how a CO₂ table is supposed to work in theory. As your body adapts, the discomfort becomes more familiar and your mind learns not to react as strongly. But this was the first time I had truly experienced it myself. Instead of struggling more with each round, I found myself becoming calmer and more comfortable.
It was a great reminder that our biggest limitations are often the ones we create in our own minds. Sometimes, all we have to do is trust the process.

What I liked!
- the feeling of ease, of lightness, even though the difficulty increased
- listening to music and focussing on this instead. It by the way also helped with accepting the voice telling the time from the app.
- I was struggling for only like 15s which was managable for me.
What I found hard!
- The tightness in the chest before I put the blanket under it and my arms up.
- No being hydrated enough and feeling it.

Tip of the DAY!
Relaxation is personal. Whether it’s classical music, ocean sounds, or even ’90s rock, find what helps your mind slow down. The best playlist is the one that helps you feel calm and present before and during your breath holds.
The goal for tomorrow!
- Have fun leading the breathing class.
- Prepare the content of the “old” tables.
