AIDA 2 – The Beginner Freediving Course

AIDA 2 – 320 €

Take your freediving to the next level! The AIDA 2 Freediver Course is the first full certification level, giving you the skills and knowledge to dive safely and independently.

🌊 Prerequisites:

  • Minimum age: 18 years (16/17 with parent or guardian consent)
  • Ability to swim 200m non-stop without fins and 300m non-stop with mask, snorkel, and fins
  • Signed medical statement

📅 Course structure (min. 2.5 days):

  • Day 1: Knowledge development + confined water training (static & dynamic apnea)
  • Day 2: Knowledge development, open water sessions
  • Day 3: Open water session

🎯 Requirements to certify:

  • 2 minutes static apnea
  • 40m dynamic apnea with fins
  • 12m constant weight dive
  • Pass the theory exam

What you’ll learn & practice:

  • Relaxation, breathing & finning techniques
  • Safety skills for you & your buddy
  • Equalisation & duck diving
  • Vertical swimming, body positioning & turns
  • Using buoyancy in open water

Theory topics include:

  • Introduction to freediving & breathing cycle
  • Basic freediving physiology
  • Equalisation techniques
  • Freediving safety & buddy system
  • Equipment overview
  • Freediving disciplines

📜 Certification: After completing the course, you will be certified to dive to a maximum depth of 20m with an independent buddy or professional guide.
